IPS STAFF OF COLOR DO NOT RECOMMEND WORKING FOR IPS

A recent audit conducted for the IPS school board "revealed that the district had fewer staff of color at schools compared with certain other school districts and that staff of color were not likely to recommend others to apply to the district."

WHY IS THIS NOT SUPRISING TO US?

IPS staff are treated badly

if they disagree with district leadership.

The constant opening and closing of schools

create chaos for IPS students, parents, and staff.

The conversion of IPS traditional schools to “innovation”

schools ends teachers’ unions for those schools,

leaving teachers with no independent voice.

When traditional schools are converted to “innovation” schools because the Mind Trust has promised their fellows a school to run, staff views on whether to convert are largely ignored.
